How to accept email delegation


There are cases where you can be delegated an email account  at Saint Peter’s University. It could either be a departmental email (ex: or an employee's  email account (ex: The IT department will set up the delegation and you will receive an email asking you to accept the delegation. . 


University Employees


Here are the steps to confirm/accept the email delegation:


  1. You will get an email telling you that an account has granted you access to the account's email. Click on the email.


  1. Once the email is opened, click on the link under “To accept this request, please click the link below:” as pictured in the box. 


  1. You will be redirected to a page to confirm the request. Please click on the “Confirm” button as pictured in the box.



  1. Once you click the “Confirm” button, you will be redirected to a success page. You don't have to do anything further. 


  1. In order to access the delegated email, simply go to your Gmail account ( and click on the icon to the top right in a circle (it will either be a picture of you or you're first initial). You will see your account along with all the designated accounts you were given. Simply click on one of the accounts and you will be redirected to that email account.
