What you need to know
All faculty, staff and administrators are required by University policy to complete Security Awareness Training each year. The refresher includes about 15-20 minutes of content, and you have 45 days to complete it. A score of 80% or higher is required on the short assessment at the end.
KnowBe4 will email you a link to the training and will send reminders every 10 days until it is completed. Please make every effort to finish within the 45-day window. If training is not completed, your access may be temporarily suspended as a security measure.
Step 1 - Access KnowBe4
Option 1: Use the link in the email
Look for the Security Awareness Training email from SPU Cyber Alerts via KnowBe4 and click the training link in the message. Single Sign-On is enabled, so use your Saint Peter's credentials if prompted.
Option 2: Use the Google Waffle (App Launcher)
From Google Workspace, click the Google Waffle (the nine-dot App Launcher) in the upper-right corner. Scroll through the available applications and select the KnowBe4 icon. This will take you to KnowBe4 using Saint Peter's Single Sign-On.
Step 2 - Review your assignments
Your KnowBe4 dashboard shows your training progress and assigned modules. Click Go to Training to see the items you need to complete.
Step 3 - Complete your training assignments
The Training page lists the assignments included in your Security Awareness Training. Click Start for each assignment and complete all assigned items. The training typically contains approximately 15-20 minutes of content.
Step 4 - Work through the course and assignments
Follow the on-screen instructions and use Next to move through the course. Complete all required content and the short assessment at the end. A score of 80% or higher is required. When finished, return to KnowBe4 and confirm that all assignments show as completed.
