University extensions can be forwarded to other campus extensions and off-network phone numbers such as a cell or home number. Employees can do this directly from any Avaya phone on campus. An extension can only be forwarded to one number at a time.
To activate call forwarding from an Avaya phone on campus:
- Dial *300 from any Avaya phone and then dial the extension to be forwarded.
Note: You can alternately press the Call Forward button on the phone of forwarding extension (not all phones have this feature).
- Dial the extension or full phone number (8-1-xxx-xxx-xxxx) of where calls are to be received. A confirmation tone will be heard.
- Make a test call to confirm that the forwarding was configured correctly.
To deactivate call forwarding:
- Dial #300 from any Avaya phone.
- Dial forwarding extension. A confirmation tone will be heard.
- Make a test call to confirm that the extension is no longer being forwarded.
Notes
- If a call to your extension is not answered, it will be connected to your Saint Peter's voicemail as long as the number of rings is less than what is required to connect to the voicemail on the phone number you forwarded your phone to.
- To activate call forwarding from off campus, please submit a request to the Service Desk, and make sure you include the extension to be forwarded and the phone number to which it should be forwarded.
