Information

Why do I need to use VPN? You should request access to VPN if you need to access any one or all of the following from off-campus:

  • File share
  • Colleague
  • Informer

These are examples of applications that would require VPN.

For employees seeking VPN access, you will need to submit a service request to IT Client Services. Make sure that you receive written approval from your supervisor (via email) for you to have access.  Once this process is complete, only then will you be able to proceed with the following steps:

1. Go to https://vpn.saintpeters.edu on your web browser (make sure you are not on the Saint Peter's network).  Type in your SPU username and password.

2. You will be prompted to download the VPN; select "AnyConnect VPN."

3. Download and install

4. After installation, open "Cisco AnyConnect", type "vpn.saintpeters.edu." You will be prompted to log-in with your SPU username and password.

5. When connecting, you will see the screen with the displayed information below.  SAINTPETERS.EDU is the default. Select "Group" and change the group to SPC.EDU.

6. Once you log-in with your SPU username and password successfully, you will see the application display a green checkmark, as shown in the image below.
