This article provides the steps on converting the departmental fiscal year budget for GLIM import.

- Converting the excel file
- When the excel file is received. open the file and select a new worksheet

select all rows with data (no header, no blanks) and do a CTRL+C

Right Click and Paste Special Values (MUST SELECT VALUES)
- Delete all columns between GL# and July (usually, cols B, C, D, E). The program is expecting the GL # column, plus 12 more columns (for July through June)
Save-as CSV, rename to something short like PRES_A

Once the file is saved, place the CSV file into the GL.Interfaces folder

- Importing budget on the colon prompt
- When logged into the colon prompt, proceed with the command: RUN XCS X_GLIM_CONVERT_06172014
- When RUN XCS X_GLIM_CONVERT_06172014 is entered it will prompt for the file name, fiscal year and desc
- EXAMPLES in entering File Name, FY, and DESC : EMFY25, 25 and for DESC, hit the space bar twice as no information is placed on DESC

- If an error occurs, reach out to Ahmad or the person providing the excel sheet to confirm error and changes needed
- If there is no error, remove the CSV file from the GL.INTERFACES folder and provide Ahmad or the person providing the excel sheet the file name for their upload
- Wait for approval that the import was successful.
