Converting Blackboard Courses To Alternate File Formats Using Ally File Transformer

Blackboard Ally is a powerful tool that allows files in a Blackboard course to be downloaded as alternate formats, allowing greater accessibility for students. Ally has developed a stand-alone website which allows individuals to perform this task outside of a course. Anyone at Saint Peter's University can use this tool. This article demonstrates the steps to generate alternative file formats using the Ally File Transformer Website.

First, access the tool by visiting the Ally File Transformer Website. On this page, you can drag-and-drop a PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX or HTML file into the box, or click the Browse button to select a file from your device.
Select Saint Peter's University as your Institution and then tick the "I'm not a robot" box, and finally click Transform my file.

After your file uploads, a window will prompt you for the file type to convert it to.  Select one and click Download to download the converted file to your computer.

For more information on which alternative formats are available, what they are, and which ones would be best to use in which situations (along with a helpful video), please visit this resource guide on alternative formats.
