In response to COVID-19 and as a precautionary measure to help to minimize the risk of exposure to the virus, Saint Peter’s University developed a set of resources to provide both business and learning continuity for use during the pandemic and in the event the University needs to shift to remote operation again in the future. What do I need in order to keep working?
Here are some key resources that will be useful to the entire Saint Peter's community:
- Communicate and keep informed - check your Saint Peter’s University email regularly to stay up to date as the situation evolves. Communicate regularly with your instructors and advisors, let them know what challenges you are facing, and be sure you understand what they expect from you. Reach out for help or advice when you need it.
- Many of the applications that you will need are already available from off-campus, in particular, Gmail, Blackboard, Google Meet. and the IT Client Portal. Your MyApps Dashboard provides access to these and many other applications from anywhere with internet access.
- As always you can use SPIRIT Online and Colleague Student Planning from off-campus.
- Google Meet- This tool allows for either synchronous or asynchronous classes. Some of your instructors may choose to conduct their classes during the regularly scheduled class meeting times through Google Meet. You can also you Google Meet if you choose to connect with other students.
- Registration and academic planning functions can be done remotely via Colleague Student Planning. An excellent resource page for Student Planning has been assembled by the Center for Academic Success and Engagement. Reach out to CASE to your advisors and/or the Registrar's office for more detail.
- Phone System - Includes instructions on how to forward your extension, change your voice mail greeting, and check your voice mail from anywhere.
- VPN - Allows an employee to access Saint Peter's network from a public or personal WIFI network.

Where can I get technology help?
The IT Service Desk is available Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM until 7 PM, and Fridays from 7:30 AM to 5 PM. Here are links to get help with common requests:
